UK Land Estates is one of the North East of England’s largest investor and developer of commercial property.
The company engaged Creo to provide ongoing PR support in 2022, with the core aim of promoting upcoming developments, company milestones and celebrating the impact of UKLE through the successes of businesses operating from its trading estates.
Creo was also appointed to develop and implement a new social media strategy, reflecting the brand’s desire to focus more on its developments and customers than its own profile-raising.
The working relationship has since evolved to include the production of marketing materials, social media support, copywriting, photography and videography and website management.

The thinking
Despite its size, UK Land Estates tends to keep a relatively low profile, particularly when it comes to personal profile raising, opting instead to let their projects and investments do the talking.
This knowledge allowed us to take a strategic approach to all of our PR, social media and content creation efforts, ensuring everything we produced focused on building UK Land Estates’ reputation as a brand which is recognised for the quality of its business parks and developments, being a business-friendly landlord, giving back to the communities it serves and for being a key driver of economic growth in the region.
It also allowed us to pitch up and devise a new customer-led campaign which we have developed in order to profile the wide-range of businesses located across UKLE’s sites, capturing real customer testimonials from those who directly benefit from the company’s drive to create fantastic places for businesses to thrive and grow.
Making it happen
Working closely with the company’s directors, we created a timeline of upcoming announcements and potential milestones to shape a communications strategy which charted the company’s key moments. It also allowed us to ensure that we had an even spread of content, from business updates to development stories and tales showcasing its many CSR initiatives.
The approach ensures all communications activity aligns with the company’s objectives and has allowed us to build closer working relationships with each of the UKLE’s key divisions to ensure they are all confident using our services and approaching us for support.
Capturing quality photography and videography was also key. For each story, we arrange for our in-house photographer to capture a press shot for issuing with press releases and for new developments, we agree a timespan to get out and capture drone footage throughout construction to showcase the incredible process of building such infrastructure projects, providing us with high-quality social media content and corporate video and photos.
The outcome
Our ongoing PR and content activity secured strong regional and trade coverage, positioning UK Land Estates as one of the North East’s leading commercial property developers and owners and we continue to work closely with the team, delivering PR, social and content support to shout about its project successes and company growth. LinkedIn activity has garnered over 100,000 impressions.
The ongoing work has also helped build and strengthen key relationships with local and regional stakeholders, as well as ensure UK Land Estates is recognised as a highly credible partner for organisations seeking to develop commercial property across the region.
